The Wenvex W-Series is a welded, high-load data-center cabinet line rated for up to 2500 kg static load, available from 39U to 51U in single, double, triple and quad-bay layouts. It covers demanding equipment loads and secure multi-tenant colocation, with per-compartment electronic access and per-tenant metering, including bespoke welded builds. A 48U four-compartment colocation cabinet was shown at Data Centre World London 2026.

Colocation

Secure multi-tenant colocation, built in.

Multi-bay layouts split a single welded cabinet into independently secured compartments, each with its own access and metering, so tenants share a footprint without sharing a lock.

Secure compartments

1, 2, 3 or 4 independently locked bays in one welded frame.

Per-compartment access

Keyed, combination, profile-cylinder or RFID access, specified per tenant.

Per-tenant metering

Metered PDUs for accurate colocation billing.

Airflow & cabling

Compartment-aware cable entry and airflow designed in from the start.

W-Series FAQ

W-Series frequently asked questions

How is W-Series different from the DX-Series?

Both lines are built on welded frames. The W-Series goes further on load (up to 2500 kg static), covers a wider 39–51U height range and offers secure multi-bay compartments for colocation. The DX-Series is the standard, bayable 42U/47U rack. Choose the W-Series when you need higher load, a non-standard height or secure compartments in one cabinet.

What load can the W-Series take?

Up to 2500 kg static and 1800 kg dynamic, thanks to its welded rigid frame.

What sizes and bay layouts are available?

Six standard sizes, all 800 × 1 200 mm, with the bay count paired to the height: 39U/3-bay, 40U/2-bay, 42U/1-bay, 48U/4-bay, 50U/2-bay and 51U/1-bay. Other heights, dimensions and compartment splits are available as welded bespoke builds.

How does colocation security and metering work?

Each bay is an independently locked compartment. Access control is specified per compartment (1333 key, combination lock, profile cylinder, RFID or a custom solution), and metered PDUs provide per-tenant energy metering for billing.

Has the colocation cabinet been shown publicly?

Yes. A 48U colocation cabinet with 4 × 12U secure compartments was exhibited at Data Centre World London 2026.

What standard is it built to?

The W-Series is designed and built to IEC 61587-1. This is a build reference; formal certification is available on request.
